Titel Statistical significance in whole body MRI images
Sammanfattning To utilize acquired MRI images for research or support in medical decision-making, one has to identify the regions in the image, where observed signal deviates from our expectation to the point that it can no longer be attributed to noise, induced by imaging modality or processing steps. To recognize these regions, statistical hypothesis testing is performed voxel-wise. However, this introduces the problem of multiplicity that needs to be accounted for, and to tackle this problem, an appropriate correction method has to be used. We will explain the idea behind some more widely known methods and look at the results they produce on whole-body correlation maps, resulting from a whole body MRI image analysis method, Imiomics.
