|Titel||Binarization of 3D images of fibrous materials|
|Sammanfattning||Recent advances in imaging technology has made it possible to produce high resolution 3D images of paper and other fibrous materials. An important step in the analysis of such images is to segment the images into fibre and background.
The segmentation method we are currently using has some drawbacks, so recently I have been working on finding a better method. In this talk I will present some ideas on using a combination of fast marching and graph cuts to segment the images.
