Joakim Lindblad received his Ph.D. at the Centre for Image Analysis, Uppsala University, Uppsala, Sweden in January 2003. He got his M.Sc. degree in Engineering Physics from the University of Uppsala, Sweden in 1997. His research interests include finding general methods for segmentation of images, feature extraction and classification, possibly with feedback to the segmentation step. Presently working with segmentation of fluorescence microscopy images of cells in 2D and 3D.
