Title Human Expertise Meets Artificial Intelligence
Abstract In this presentation I will first give a short summary of the field studies we have conducted on the topic of human expertise and decision making, and I will argue that there are basic premises that need to be met in terms of design of information systems if human expertise is to be facilitated and developed over time. Secondly, I will give a short reflection on the recent trends in artificial intelligence and related concepts such autonomy, machine learning etc., and what these trends mean for people in general and for humans working in complex systems in particular. Finally, I will summarize and reflect over the questions: Do we see new levels of interferences (conflicts) between humans and machines? And what are consequences in terms of possibilities for learning for humans?
