||In this talk, I will present 4 of our projects at IMAGElab. (1) Ranking and re-ranking of tobacco leaves digital images; (2) Bacterial colonies and stomata: detection and segmentation; (3) Detecting wood internal defects using image processing; and (4) Color human evaluation on thermo-regulatory sweat test using Kinect and the k-means algorithm.
Biography: Professor Marco Antonio Garcia de Carvalho received a PhD degree in image processing at School of Electrical and Computer Engineering University of Campinas, Brazil, in 2004 during which he held a sandwich stage position at ESIEE, Paris, France. His main interests are in the areas of image processing, image segmentation and computer vision. He is currently a professor at the School of Technology, UNICAMP, Brazil.
