Title A Tour of PixelMath2006
Abstract This will be a brief introduction to the capabilities and techniques associated with a new version of the image processing software used in an introductory course at the University of Washington. The software provides three interfaces, intended roughly for beginning, intermediate, and advanced users. The first interface is "pixel calculator" allowing direct manipulations of image pixels using arithmetic expressions. The second interface, the "Formula Page", provides an executable list of image specifications. The third interface is a Python shell that is connected directly to a library of functions that permit both scripting of the program and extension of functionality.

I'll show examples of computing stereograms, filtering with the Fourier transform, and simple distance transforms.
