Titel Using LaTeX Beamer for Creating Presentations
Sammanfattning When creating mathematically oriented presentations in PowerPoint or OpenOffice you always come to the point where you have to include mathematical formulas into your presentation. Both of these presentation programs provide you with some means to typeset mathematical formulas, but the tools are crude and usually you need to rely on ad-hoc solutions to get a bearable result.

The Beamer class is a document class for LaTeX made for producing presentations. In addition to using most of LaTeX's mathematical typesetting capabilities, it also structures the elements of a presentation in a intuitive and fasionable way (which is more than I can say about my own presentations before I discovered Beamer).

I will cover the basics of a Beamer presentation and give a rough assessments of the pros and cons with using LaTeX for creating presentations.
