Title The WormToolbox of CellProfiler and life & work at the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT
Abstract On May 5th I've worked for three years at the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT in Cambridge, MA, USA. I'm PI for development of image analysis tools for high-throughput analysis of the 1mm long worm called C.elegans, one of the worlds most studied multi-cellular organisms. This work has resulted in a publication in Nature Methods (available on line April 22nd), and during this seminar I will tell you a bit about the story behind this project and how we use these tools to search for new antibiotics and regulators of fat metabolisms. I will also talk about the Broad Institute and Boston/Cambridge in general.
